MANGALURU: A high-impact National Conference titled “Digital Pedagogy: Revolutionizing Teaching and Learning” was successfully organized on February 28, 2026, at the Yendurance Zone, Yenepoya (Deemed to be) University.
The event, a joint initiative by the Department of Nursing Education and the first-year M.Sc. Nursing students, was inaugurated by Dr. Larissa Martha Sams, Principal of Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing. In her keynote address, Dr. Sams emphasized that both students and faculty must intelligently leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools while maintaining a deep understanding of digital ethical issues and the vast availability of modern educational resources. Dr. Ashwini Dutt, Registrar of Yenepoya University, attended as the Guest of Honour and stressed the vital importance of transformative education for the current generation.
Presiding over the ceremony, Dr. Leena KC, Dean of Yenepoya Nursing College, highlighted the evolving role of technology in modern nursing education. The program, which drew a significant turnout of 350 delegates from various states in a hybrid format. The scientific sessions were led by distinguished resource persons including Dr. Rita Lakhani, Dr. Roshan Fernandes, Dr. Calvin Sophistus King, and Dr. Jarina Begum. Prof. Subramanya Naik served as the Karnataka State Nursing Council (KSNC) Observer for the conference. The programme commenced with a prayer by Ms. Munaveera, followed by a warm welcome address by Dr. Priya Reshma Aranha. The proceedings concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Nithyashree B.V.
